MSU vs Minny

That's true but we're also in OT because he can't hit free throws.

LOL....what??

We went to OT because of stupid play. Dawson and Schilling cant stay on their feet. Leaving guys alone when down by three....CONSTANT turnovers in crucial situations.

This team plays dumb.....and as much as I love Izzo.....he deserves a massive amount of the blame for that.

Embarrassing loss.

Spartans up 3 against #15 Minnie in hockey early...4 shots on goal, up 3-0. Go State!!!!

I'm not saying other players didn't contribute but trice was 4 of 7 from the line in regulation. He shoots 70% and we win we don't have OT.

Nobody had a chance to do anything, the ball was in Trices hands 90% of the time

This explains everything. Valentine should be the go to guy.

Also I don't understand why Izzo doesn't feed Dawson from the get go. He seems so lose interest and intensity when he doesn't get off to a good start.

Full credit to Minnesota! They deserved that win and outplayed us. If not for some Trive heroics they would have won in regulation.

Dawson disappeared. Clutch FT misses again. Back on the bubble IMO. Very disappointing. Effort seemed to be there, but Minny's perimeter players ate us up.

and 1 of those misses was with under a minute to go. At least 1 other was a front end of a 1 and 1 also.

We deserved to lose that game just like we deserved to lose the Illinois game a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, full credit to Minnesota. They were amazing, almost Kentucky-like tonight.

Gophers score. 3-1 Spartans at first intermission.

This. If they don't play stupid in the last minute, Trice looks like the hero with his two huge 3s. Instead he plays shitty in OT and everybody puts the blame on him instead of the players that made the 2 horrible plays that gave Minnesota a chance to put it in OT.

The best thing I see from the box score is Nairn with 8 assists, shot well from 3 (40%) and +9 in boards. It also looks like we played absolutely no defense when I look at the score.

I think Michigan state can hang with any team in the country and that's their problem. They hang around with a team who is awful and with the teams like Duke, Kansas, and Notre Dame. They can't put anyone away and winning close games seems impossible this year.

So close, yet so far away

How about fouling up 3? I'm sick of this dumbass "let's play it out" bullshit, the fact that we were even in OT is on 2 people: Izzo for being stubborn and Schilling for being horrible. Honorable mention to Dawson for an asinine foul too.

Fouled on 3 3pt attempts late, any argument about blame should end there. 3rd one didn't really matter

Most points given up since 2008 vs UNC at Ford Field (98 Pts, sadly I was there)

Second game where izzo elects not to foul up 3 late and we lose both games. Hard to believe we make the same mistake again after a timeout.

This has to be one of the worst games I have seen Shilling play.

You can't blame going to OT on Schilling - he lucked out and the guy missed the and-1 for the win. If the gopher hit his FT, you could blame Schilling for us losing in regulation.

Going to OT was a team effort, including a significant contribution from Izzo.

I think you're giving them too much credit - didn't Dook lead by 10 pretty much the whole way? And Kansas is a much better team now than they were when we played them. I'm not so sure we could hang with them now like we did in November.

I was there as well. The last 4 games against UNC they rose from the ashes to hit fade away shots falling out of the building with 3 guys punching the shooter in the face, GOOD!!! I knew we were bound to drop one but Id assumed it would beWisc. Not good, not good at all.
