He was taken into police custody and if the rumors are true he is off the team permanently. Rumor is he flashed a gun at somone on campus after a road rage incident.

he's gone I'm sure

Yeah, total dumbass to have a gun on campus. He had a shot to be the starting RB behind the best O line MSU has had in decades, heck, most average high school RBs could run for 600 yards behind that line. Now he's going to be looking to pick up the pieces of his life.

Looks as London and LJ Scott will carry the load. I really like Delton I thought he deserved more carries last year, but there is no excuse for having a gun on campus. He was arrested on drug charges in high school as well. No way that a second chance should be given.

benefit of hindisght, shilique calhoun was kicked off his HS basketball team for storming off the court in the middle of a game. there have been other guys who have made the most of their second chances, i don't have a problem with giving a second chance to a kid that was caught with pot in high school.

from a football standpoint, the impact is minimal. I liked him as a late game sledgehammer back after a defense wears down but Scott and London were going to get the majority of the carries anyway. this might open the door for Holmes or Owens to play a little bit

Charged with brandishing a fire arm.

In a twist, the court reported that Delton has a concealed weapons permit.

How is that a twist? Sounds like it's just "the rest of the story". Just because you have a permit, doesn't give you the right to point it at people.

He didn't point it at anyone. He's accused of showing it. He's facing a misdemeanor that will probably get plead down to a civil infraction of some sort. The fact that he had the gun legally kept him out of a lot of trouble.

All we have is the complaint side of the story. We'll see what Delton's side is.

So somebody honks at him because he cut in front of their car, he then turned around and followed the guy and then showed him his gun?

If this is true, fuck this guy.

Also, when the hell did it become ok to have a gun on campus???

Yeah, if that's what happened he is gone. Of course no one has heard Delton's version if what happened yet. Maybe he'll say something different happened. Either way he's facing a 90 day Max misdemeanor that will get plead down. There are school rules about guns too, but he was technically not violating them having it in his car.

Doubt he plays football for MSU again.

It used to have to be registered and stored with DPS police station

I believe that's still the case.

it turns out he did have a license to carry, but that doesn't chance much as far as his future with the team. If you get into a fight on the road and show someone that you have a gun as a threat, you don't have a place in the program. There's typical knucklehead stuff that kids get suspended for and then come back, this is way outside the scope of what's acceptable.

Delton Williams is back with the team and might get his scholarship back. Possible he could be suspended for the year, but 4 games is also rumored.

God I only hope its 4 games. That would be a hard hit if its the whole year!!

I'd like to see him kicked off and transfer to Pitt and get a second chance there. I think this is too big to take a chance on, wish him the best, not at msu. If he does come back I'd like to see it be a year suspension, if he goes a year without incident I guess that's fine, anything else is way too light.

If he flashed a gun on campus he should be gone and should of been done sooner .

He had a permit for the gun. I think it was blown out of proportion. Is flashing your gun a smart choice of course not! But in my opinion driving drunk is a much worse offense. You kick him off the team and he may very well go down the wrong path, let him graduate from MSU and hope he makes something out of himself.

Who cares if he has a permit or not? I am pretty sure guns are not allowed on campus.
