    Game 36 Detroit Tigers @ Cleveland Guardians 6:10 p.m. EST 5/7

We have seen way too many gidp to score a run so far this year. All he needed to do was get the ball in the air.

    Game 34, Tigers & Yankees, 5/5/2024

13th in home runs while being 24th in slugging tells us that not much is happening outside of a few handfuls of home runs. 31st (out of 31) in batting average confirms that in spades.

    Game 33, Tigers & Yankees, 5/4/2024

Just an afterthought. We essentially lost the last two games on hits by Rizzo with runners on second and third. Issuing an intentional bb would have loaded the bases for Gleyber Torres, who is really in a slump right now. Given the walk off nature of things last night, it should have been a no...

    Game 33, Tigers & Yankees, 5/4/2024

And now the ump calls a ball a strike on the opposite of the plate to Vierling. Tiger’s strike zone is a plate and a half wide.

    Game 33, Tigers & Yankees, 5/4/2024

Which actually was a strike, unlike the one to Carpenter just now

    Game 33, Tigers & Yankees, 5/4/2024

Correct, it could have been (and would have been) a force out.

    Game 33, Tigers & Yankees, 5/4/2024

Ibanez pinch hits with 2 on and 2 out, and swings at three straight balls for a quick end of the inning. The Tigers just don’t have their heads together.

    Game 33, Tigers & Yankees, 5/4/2024

At the game, hopefully someone can post the normal info.

Game 32 Detroit Tigers @ New York Yankees 7:05 EST 5/3

I’m at game three, sitting fairly close, missed the first inning due to subway problems. Tigers are looking terrible so far. Hopefully they get better, and someone starts a game thread; I can’t really do it from the stadium safely.

    Game 27 KC Royals @ Detroit Tigers 6:10 p.m. EST 4/27

Guardians pulled off a win against the Braves in the 11th inning. The Braves had the type of extra inning in the 10th that we remember from last year; loaded bases with no outs, followed by 2 weak ground balls and a strikeout.

    Game 27 KC Royals @ Detroit Tigers 6:10 p.m. EST 4/27

He is low key, but honest. I would prefer that to the schtick that I hear from the majority of announcers nowadays.

    Game 21 Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins 2:10 p.m. EST 4/20

I’m pretty disappointed in Canha recently. He is supposed to be the on-base guy with plate discipline, and I’m not seeing that at all.

    Game 20 Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins 8:10 p.m. EST 4/19

    Not with another mistake pitch.

Game 19 Detroit Tigers vs Texas Rangers 1:10 p.m. EST 4/18

Hopefully we can maintain that road record sooner; the next 6 games are road games.

Game 19 Detroit Tigers vs Texas Rangers 1:10 p.m. EST 4/18

Benetti said “It’s been a tough day for both sides, really”. Talk about spinning…

Game 19 Detroit Tigers vs Texas Rangers 1:10 p.m. EST 4/18

Lange came through this time; echoes of a full year ago.
  17. N

Game 19 Detroit Tigers vs Texas Rangers 1:10 p.m. EST 4/18

I’m getting tired of the announcers (and MLB network in general) declaring every new prospect to be the second coming

Game 18 Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers 1:10 EST 4/17

Our lauded pinch hitting isn’t doing very well today; 2 really lame strikeouts.
  19. N

Game 18 Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers 1:10 EST 4/17

Tarik Skubal just threw a couple mistakes to the heart of the order; 4-1.
  20. N

Game 15 Detroit Tigers vs. Minnesota Twins 1:40 p.m. EST 4/14

And the Guardians came back with three runs for a win. At least the Royals lost.
