Daren Sharper gets 18 years in prison

I agree it seems light, but I think its only 15 months less than he Maximum he can receive.

For as terrible of a crime that Rape is, I do think its important to make sure that the maximum penalty be less than Murder, or else you give criminals the incentive to just Kill their victims.
 
I thing the problem is the max penalty. This should be much higher..
