2 years/8.25m. Do we have a second C besides McCann? I hoped we had kept Avila.

Done deal

On 40-Man Roster
John Hicks
Grayson Greiner

Invited to Spring Training
Derek Norris
Brayan Pena
Arvicent Perez
Jake Rogers

Rogers, a stud on defense, is probably the best of the bunch and with a good 2018, should/could be the starting catcher in 2019. Everyone should remember Brayan Pena from 3 years ago. MEH. Derek Norris was an All Star in OAK. Norris is more of a defensive catcher. Perez is 24 and has not made it past A ball (a bad sign). So I am not sure why he got an invite, other than most teams have a large group of catchers during Spring Training.

My concern is the current and upcoming young pitchers. Most have had difficulties when McCann has been their catcher. Hopefully Rogers resolves that when he arrives. I am not a fan of Brayan Pena. I doubt Greiner at 25 will be given a fair chance. Defense and game calling is supposed to be Greiner's strong suit.

It is probably McCann and Hicks, both Righties, as your catchers in 2018. Brayan Pena is the only non-rightie of the group.
