A few cynical thoughts:
- No draft prospect is realistically going to be affected. The NBA doesn't give a shit about the NCAA and have repeatedly shown they will draft idiots and ineligible kids as long as they can play basketball.
- Do schools really care if they have tournament wins vacated after the fact? If a team goes deep, it's a huge amount of publicity. Even if the wins are stripped later, everyone in the country still remembers them winning.
- What does this criminal investigation really mean to these programs? The NCAA is a joke. If this investigation turns up that every one of the top money making programs in the nation are at fault, what can the NCAA really do? Take the top ten programs in the game today, if they decided to ditch the NCAA and start their own league together, nobody would really care.
