Falcons vs. Patriots Super Bowl Ll Game thread

second time in three playoff games New England has had two first-half turnovers. Never happened during the regular season.

There's a stat I didn't know.......NE didn't play ONE FUCKING GAME this entire year against a QB this finished in the top 10 in rating.

As always the turnover battle is about 90% of the story . Both came in fg range and both resulted in td's.

Guess it's easy to win so many games when that happens lol..

Falcons lead the Patriots 21-3 at halftime of Super Bowl LI and get the ball to start the second half.
Falcons defense making a difference as Robert Alford had an 82-yard interception return for touchdown and Deion Jones came up with key strip that resulted in fumble recovery.
MVP Matt Ryan is 7-of-8 for 115 yards with a TD and passer rating of 158.3.

Are the Patriots just setting everyone up for the greatest comeback in SB history?

To me, it all depends on when Quinn goes into "play not to lose" mode. He keeps his foot on the gas pedal and this could get really ugly.

Caldwell would be in full prevent mode already.

Hope Quinn keeps the pedal to the metal.

Caldwell well, when time is right Quinn will bring in a new coach.

Falcons are 12-1 when leading at half this season, including the postseason. The only loss was to the Chargers in Week 7 when they led Chargers 27-17 at half then lost 33-30.

Tom Brady is 3-13 in his career when trailing by at least 21 points (all in the regular season).

The Patriots have only trailed by 18+ points at the half once in the last 10 seasons. They trailed the Broncos 24-0 at half on Nov. 24, 2013 and went on to win that game 34-31.

From 2013 Week 13 to 2017 Week 17, the Patriots went 60 straight games without giving up 10-plus first-half points off turnovers. They've done it twice in three games since then.

Patriots trail the Falcons 21-3 at halftime, but they're between 4.5- and 6.5-point favorites in the second half (includes overtime) with a second-half over/under of 30.5 points.
The adjusted game odds (using the halftime score and second-half lines) are Atlanta -12 (after closing New England -3 and using the most popular NE -6 line in the second half) and O/U 54.5 (after closing 57).

Falcons QB Matt Ryan's first two passes of the game were one and four yards past the line of scrimmage.
His final six attempts were all thrown at least 18 yards past the line of scrimmage, and Ryan completed five of those for 103 yards and a TD.

The Falcons current win probability is 96.4%.
Keep in mind that they did lose a game earlier this season in which their win probability was 95.4%.

Patriots with some uncharacteristic drops. Did they talk with Ebron recently?
