Blount to the Lions?

Would certainly help short yardage and goal line. Not holding my breath though.

Lions brining in Matt Asiata for a workout. He can score TDs

If we are having Abdullah and Riddick as our top two backs, I would rather give Washington or Green first crack as the big back.

I would rather spend money on a veteran WR, I'm talking to you Anquan!

They need someone who can get those tough yards. No one on the current Lions roster can do that. I'd much rather see Blount brought in here rather than Boldin. The dude can barely run anymore, and it's time for Ebron and the rookie to be those red zone threats.

I swear to God, this is the only franchise that doesn't want a back that rushed over 1,000+ yds and double digit TDs. It's positively mind blowing lol

I remember the FB from Tampa Bay he's say "If you need one yards I'll get you 3, if you need 5 yards I'll get you 3.." James Stewart was good at getting those short run first downs.. I'd love to have the perfect RB but right now I'll settle for someone who can get those 1st downs and TD from the 2.

It's May 3rd and he's still available, I'm guessing there are a number of franchises that don't want him.

Had his best year yet, 18 TD (wow) and even though he's 30 he doesn't have all those carries. I'd go get him..

Lions have been linked to veteran RBs LeGarrette Blount & Matt Asiata, but Zach Zenner was better than both at creating yards after contact.

LIONS REPORTEDLY EYING SHORT-YARDAGE FREE AGENT OPTIONS.
Detroit has been linked to two free agent running backs who could offer short-yardage production for the Lions. PFF looks at how they might fit in.

Numbers don't lie, right?

and for the record, I want Blount too.
I've watched plenty of patriots games with him rushing and moving a scrum a offensive and defensive players forward.

Zenner had 88 carries. We need a bigger guy for the short runs.. I'm tired of 1st down at the 2, and needing to throw on 3rd down.

Numbers lie all the time!

Stafford consistently ranks mid to bottom amongst qbs but we all know he's elite.

Our defense breaks records for opponents completion %age and qbr.... but we all know they are top10.

I'm always leery of any Patriot skill position free agent. System, system, system....

Blount is a good RB. He even ran well in Tampa Bay. He would be an instant upgrade over Zenner.

I don't care what month it is lol. That's irrelevant. I'm guessing his age and/or asking price is the issue. Lions need this guy. He's a better RB than Zenner and it's not even close....

Blount has really only been great as a Patriot outside of his rookie year. He has left them before and stunk and was waived. That being said I would still sign him if it was a low risk deal. Especially if it was between him and Asiata. I really never liked him at all with the Vikings.

I think with our running game we need to try something..
