Love how hit-rod comes in and throws a pitch and looks at the mound , as if this is the first time he has ever thrown a pitch there , not to mention the 15 warmups he just threw ....such a loser

Way to bring in the closer in a 8-3 game.. use a freaking mop up guy...

Come on wilson damn it.

NOTABLE:
Upton's home run was estimated at 344 feet, although that's obviously a fairly rough estimate when a pole gets in the way of the ball.
Upton, a right-hander, doesn't often show power to the opposite field. The grand slam was only his 20th career homer to right field (according to Baseball Reference). Of the other 214, 21 were to right-center, 36 to center, 61 to left-center and 96 to left.

But the Tigers' other home run had plenty of room to spare. Nicholas Castellanos had a two-run shot in the first inning that traveled an estimated 448 feet, landing above the corner of the Green Monster just left of center.

Tigers starter Daniel Norris gave up two runs in five innings of work. He struck out six and walked three.
He twice retired Mitch Moreland to end threats. Moreland entered the game 13-for-22 (.591) with seven doubles against the Tigers this year, but went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts on Sunday until reaching on an infield single in the ninth.

Tigers relievers Shane Greene, Francisco Rodriguez, Alex Wilson and Justin Wilson pitched an inning apiece to finish the game.

The grand slam was Upton's first with the Tigers and fifth of his career.
It was, he said, the first he has ever hit off a rightfield foul pole and perhaps the shortest home run of his career.

Miguel Cabrera's fifth-inning single off the Green Monster had an exit velocity of 107.7 mph, according to Statcast?. It was his hardest hit since May 31, but he made three outs since then that were hit harder, including a ground-ball double play with a 108-mph exit velocity on Tuesday, part of a 3-for-22 slump since his previous multi-hit game, on June 3.

It wasn?t the most efficient of wins, playing past 4 hours on ESPN?s Sunday Night Baseball, but it was a complete win, with a strong offensive performance, solid enough starting pitching and the bullpen only allowing a singular run in four innings.

Drew Pomeranz threw 92 pitches over 4 1/3 innings for Boston, giving up eight hits and six runs, five of them earned.
