Yeah....plus Houston had that post natural disaster cachet that LA lacked.
Maybe if SoCal had a 7.5 temblor or higher, then the sympathy factor would have kicked in.

And...$229 million: The Dodgers had the highest payroll in baseball for the fifth straight year, per Spotrac. The Astros ranked No. 17 at $137 million.

I can say I didn't root for the Astros because of a disaster. If it hadn't happened I probably would have hoped for LA. That's messed up in its own right as I hate them.
