Rocker Tom Petty dead @ age 66

Full Moon Fever was my favorite album by him and the Heartbreakers, who I was able to see perform live @ Pine Knob b/w Chrissy Hynde & The Pretenders in the late 90s. He was struggling with heroin addiction during that decade.

"To me, American music was all about listening in the car"

Same here.

RIP Tom.

saw this yesterday and it bummed me out, especially in light of all the other recent tragic events.

he seemed like a pretty solid guy. I remember reading about his ticket pricing and stance against the Confederate flag. if more musicians were like him, the world would be a better place.
