Detroit's legendary Grande Ballroom

Its heyday was just a bit before I was old enough to attend (and afford) rock music concerts, but I did get to see many acts during the 70s @ Cobo Hall for free. One of my Detroit hood friends' mother worked as a manager in Cobo's food/beverage service back then, and she would often sneak the both of us into the venue through the kitchen. We would then just have to find unoccupied seats in the upper levels, and later find our way down closer to the main floor.
