Red Wings trying to adjust to tighter(worse) officiating as league attempts to mandate new rules. (ruin hockey)

Notes from Sundays loss to Blackhawks in OT.

Wings continue to struggle on the powerplay, plays guess why.

Helm out again with back injury. Set to have an MRI today to determine the extent.

Intersting article on who will own the replacement for the Joe. The Ilitche family may lease arena from the city instead of owning it.

I do read hfboards from time to time. some times gets a bit overwhelming, as with any site that gets a lot of traffic, it seems there are some people that just like to say stupid shit and start a fight on the internet. That being said there are a lot of good posters over there you just have to wade through the shit to get to the good stuff.

Helm due back next week. No structural damage found in his back. Def good news for the wings.

From the land of the obvious Red Wings need to get their power play together.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....lay_net-f.html

Franzen wants Zetterberg and Datsyuk to shoot more. on the PP

http://www.crainsdetroit.com/article...arena-proposal

Q and A about the new arena proposal. A good read if your at all interested in the buisness side of sports.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...th-Fox-Theatre

Rumors have the new wings arena north of Fox theater. This would be awesome IMO puts Comerica, Ford Field and the new wings stadium within a few blocks of each other. Could make a real awesome April in the D trip.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....gs_are_th.html

Wow. I didnt realize the Wings had yet to score in the first period. Probably should fix that.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...dy-improvement

Wings seek steady improvement throughout the season. This i agree with, with all the roster turnover the last few years the chances of the wings coming out on fire were very slim.

http://octopusthrower.com/2013/01/28...medium=twitter

Does Brian Lashoff belong in Detroit. I say yes, but i have always irrationally hated Kindl so i may be a little biased in this discussion.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index...._dies_fro.html

Fan dies after falling from parking garage after game agaisnt the wild. Terrible story.

When Kindl gets the puck on his stick, my sphincter puckers. TMI, I know, but it seems to be reflexive.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....acovo_sho.html

Colaiacovo back on the ice after injury, still a few weeks away from returning to lineup

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....m_will_be.html

Helm to be careful with back before returning to line up. Good thing because the Wings dont need a serious injury to helm. The Pk looks so much better when he is in the lineup.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....zi_escape.html

Close call for Bertuzzi after stick hits him in the eye. Brings up the obligatory visor discussion which Bertuzzi is still against.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....lppula_he.html

Move to Wing suits Filppula as he scores two goals in win vs Dallas.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...iver-Red-Wings

From the list of things i hoped i would get to say some day, Ericsson and Kindl deliver for the Red Wings.

http://redwings.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=653140

Chris Chelios is thinking of coming back from retirement, Into coaching.

Too Too's fists of fury lift Wings. If you couldn't tell already i love fights in the NHL and i am excited to finally have a guy on the team that will drop them with regularity.

Eric Nystrom vs Jordin Tootoo

All Too Too in this short fight.

Jordin Tootoo vs Brenden Dillon

A great fight that went pretty long, Dillon early Too Too comes back late with some big left hands

I think the stars wanted after Too Too for this hit on Philip Larsen
