vs LSU in the Citrus Bowl

Better viewing time for me personally. I'd like to get an SEC team but oh well, just get to 10 wins.

So we are playing Washington state in the holiday bowl. So not only do we not get to play in Florida where it would be a better attended game, and not only do we not get to play an SEC school, and not only do we not get to play on New Year?s Day, but we get to play a team that throws 65 times a game and is probablygoing to shred our mediocre pass defense. Meanwhile Michigan gets to play a bum ass South Carolina team in Florida despite having a worse record than us and losing head to head.

Fuck Jim delaney.

A short drive from San Diego is Tijuana, which lays claim to the very best whore and drugs houses this side of Amsterdam.

I consider MSU blessed this Christmas season.

I actually went to Tijuana for a day as a young teenager 10+ years ago. Got the picture on the donkey and everything. Interesting to say the least.

Wonder if that outback bowl will be the first time 2 unranked teams played each other on New Year’s Day?

OSU has gotten the benefit of the doubt twice when on the playoff bubble. One year it worked out. Last year not so much. I feel like Alabama is the better team, but don't like the idea of them getting in. All the reasons anyone can give boil down to OSU's loss to Iowa more than anything Bama achieved, and taking the injury excuse as far as it can go (how they were banged up vs Auburn, how FSU at 6-6 is REALLY a top 10 team if Francois is healthy), as if they're the only team with injuries.

And then the next best team anyone can come up with USC has a 35 point loss on their resume. Hell, just give it to UCF.

Spot on

Really weak draw for the bowl game. A true eye roller.

not as much as you'd think, we have two top 20 teams in our game but we did get passed over in favor of Michigan for the Outback. If it's not the playoffs or new years 6 it will be all about money and Michigan wins that popularity contest, I'd rather win football games. Take care of business against a good offense in WSU and get to 10 wins, 15 more practices, good exposure and we're on a night with no other big games.

Seems like the players were pretty pissed on twitter based on their reactions. I just hope they come out and absolutely dominate WSU even though I like Leach, he?s a funny guy.

I think Wazzou is going to absolutely shred us. Our pass defense has been mediocre to downright bad all year. I see us losing by double digits unfortunately.

Very tough match up and Wazzu spreads the ball all around. I don't think our base defense can hold up, Frey should barely play, instead bring David Dowell down and play an extra corner. Wazzu does turn the ball over a lot though.

Well, there are a lot more Walmart's in Florida than in California, so it makes a lot more sense money wise.

I am glad for selfish reasons it's not a New Years bowl. I will be on a cruise and don't feel like sitting in the casino trying to watch the game. I think WSU is a really bad match-up for our defense. I hope they didn't see how Northwestern just ran crossing routes to kill us. I think we will have to play keep away and not turnover the ball.

I haven't read a lot about WSU other than knowing Mike Leach but we tend to do well against one dimensional teams.

I think that M got the inferior bowl and matchup. The NYD mistique (sic) is a fallacy anyway.

Depends what you're looking for. MSU got a better team to play in #18 Wazzu. UM got a NYD Bowl at a better time slot against a much easier team to beat.

MSU is +3, UM is -9.5. So MSU got an opportunity for another top 20 win. UM got an opportunity to beat a bad team and begin the hype train for another off season of dominance.

I agree - there are at least 6 Bowls before Jan 1 that are better games and more intriguing matchups (at least on paper) than the Outback Bowl. The Outback may generate better ratings than some of those games, but that's got more to do with the date/time slot than the featured teams. I'm far more disappointed to see ND w/ their bloated SOS and clown show of a coach getting more undeserved hype than I am about the holiday/outback thing - but our undisciplined defense and stupid turnovers are partly to blame for that so whaddayagonnado?
