Scheduled for 8:30 am this morning, have many fond memories of attending sporting events, rodeos, concerts, big truck meets, Wrestlemania, ect. Was hoping that the USFL Michigan Panthers, being the only pro-football championship franchise here in MI, since the mid-50s would have lasted, or became an NFL AFC expansion football club, but alas it wasn't meant to be...

Wow, seeing reports of people hearing the explosion from miles away in places like Clawson, West Bloomfield, Troy, Southfield.

I wouldn't want to be one of those who go back into the destabilized structure to recharge....might have to use cranes and wrecking balls to take it down now.

They can't do nothing right. Who set that thing in motion, Lions coaching staff?

Between the Lions and the Wolverines, the state of Michigan has already used up it's allotment of implosion for the year.

Should have waited until January.

Just heard/felt it go down from a mile away, looks like they finally succeeded

Easy come, easy go, but given MI's economy, I doubt that the land it sat upon will soon be put to productive commercial use...unless say Amazon used it for an automated warehouse/fulfillment hub/Whole Foods distribution center, or an entrepreneur built a sprawling fireworks factory.

Perhaps Gov Snyder could coax China into constructing a smartphone or a vehicle manufacturing factory, with the vehicle being sold @ Wal*Mart dealerships across the country.
