Maple Leafs 5 Red Wings 4 Final

Hope Marchenko will get another crack against Detroit. He's been a scratch/playing very limited minutes past couple weeks.

Toronto have 8 D on the squad and there is rotation for the bottom spot(s).

3-2 for Toronto after two periods.

A slow Red Wings D is being exploited by the fast rookies of Toronto. All game Toronto has just been playing it long for the high forward. Most dumpins the Toronto forecheckers have been outskating the Wings D.

Crap have to go 4-0 last four games to make it to .500.. with Ottawa twice and Montreal once it's probably not going to happen . Devils we may take to ot lol..

Going .500, to me, means getting 41/82 wins.

The extra OT point has been inflating standings for a while now.

Currently 22 teams have at least 81 points. (Yea I am deflating the # by 1 to make my point clearer)

4 more teams have the potential to hit 81 points as well.

Meaning only Colorado, Arizona, Vancouver, and New Jersey can't hit that mark.

Realistically the Wings record is much worse than you think. Take every SO win and mark it as a tie.

23W-35L-20T (66 points without inflation of SO)

The NHL needs to get with the times and adopt the international 3 point system.

3 for a regulation win
2 for overtime/shootout win
1 for overtime/shootout loss

That way every game is worth 3 points instead of some being worth 2 and some being worth 3. The extra point inflates the standings and makes bad teams appear to be worse in turn making the GM look better.
