Aside from TV roles on other shows like "Gunsmoke," "Mod Squad" and "Bonanza, to name a few, Best also formed an acting school in the '70s that taught Hollywood greats like Burt Reynolds, Clint Eastwood, Lindsay Wagner, Farrah Fawcett, and Quentin Tarantino.

He was in a ton of Westerns long before the six or seven yrs Dukes was on...

Still, absolutely MUST SEE TV each and every FRIDAY night as a kid. Didn't usually watch DALLAS, which came on after
 
I remember watching it as a kid until they did the bait-and-switch with the Duke Boys, and dropped Enos for Cletus, and Cooter all together.
 
I think John Schneider felt he was bigger than the Bo Duke role ..
