Tigers have allowed 851 runs so far this season, just 6 short of the 857 that were given up by the last place '08, 74-88 team. Maybe Boyd will pitch well enough to help the Tigers avoid tieing or breaking that total tonight, as well as getting enough run support from the lineup to end their 5 game losing streak and chances of losing 100 games this season. He will also need to pitch economically and deeply into the game, so as to reduce the amount and IP of the Tigers leaky and unreliable BP.

Probably just wishful thinking though, since the twinks SP boasts a 15-8 record, and a 3.34 era this season. One of the Tigers' better hitters who remains post-fire sale, in Mikie Mahtook, will likely not play b/c of re-aggravating his groin injury.

Tigers tie it in the bottom 1st 1-1 on a leadoff double by Kinsler, and an rbi single by Presley. 1st and 3rd, no outs after Miggy single. Presley scores on an rbi single by Nick C 2-1. Haha...Holaday gets a single to load the bases on a slo-roller to first that went from foul to fair, but Romine GIDPs dammit!!

Clownshow in shallow left by twinks=Iggy on 1st. Long drive to left by Kinsler is caught @ the very top of the fence, b/c fate only allows Ian to hit solos this season.

Miguel Cabrera left tonight's game with low back tightness, according to the Tigers.

Nick C due for an xbh here...meh got under it too much...still 2-1 after 3 full.

Boyd @ ~53 pitches after 4 IP. 1 run 2 hits 4Ks 1BBs

Tigers bats silenced over the past 2 innings, still 2-1 after 5.

But Ausmus will continue to let him play..

Cabrera exits with lower back tightness.
Tigers official site

"He's about to get four months off," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said earlier this week. "So four months and two weeks are going to help him?"
Cabrera's back issues are expected to be a long-term issue for him as he ages into his mid- and upper-30s. He has talked about changing his offseason workout routine and working on his body frame to try to lessen the wear and tear.
"This is going to be an issue for him for the rest of his career. Maybe we should sit him the next seven years," Ausmus said sarcastically.

Including this game only 8 more games to put up with this condescending cunt.

Navarro homers to break the string of retired Tigers batters, and gives Boyd a bit more cushion...3-1 bottom 6th.

Efren Navarro, No. 1, to rightfield. His second career home run and first with the Tigers.
Efren Navarro's two big-league home runs are off Ervin Santana and Justin Verlander, three years apart.
Off Justin Verlander on July 26, 2014, in Anaheim.

twinks tighten up the score again in the 7th on a double and rbi single...3-2.

Ouch!!

RP Wilson just got nailed in the leg by liner.

Helped limping off the IF.

Hope he will be okay.

Consecutive singles put twinks on 1st and 2nd...no outs, Stumpf pitching for injured Wilson.

Maybe hitting a pitcher by batted fly/liner ball=auto out.

rbi single=tie game, 1st and 2nd again, still no outs.
