Owens to IR, Winn promoted from ps

I don't think he played in a single 1 last year. How many did he actually play in this year?

Articles says he missed 15 last year and a majority of 2 this year.

im done with bell. almost wish Riddick was healthy and bell sits out a game just to see what Riddick can do.

Agreed. With Bush healthy I don't see a big role for Riddick though. Im guessing Winn will get Bells snaps.

Bell has been disappointing other than pass blocking. Very little yards after contact this year or missed tackles. Run blocking isn't doing him any favors though.

my biggest problem is weve put forth a ton of effort to get him the ball in the passing game for some reason and he has made very little out of it. A lot of drops, doesn't look comfortable running routes...on screen passes he gets caught inside and gets Stafford killed/penalty for grounding. Hes just not doing a very good job all around.

15 targets so almost 4 a game. The screen game hasn't been very good and it's not just Bell.

Bell looks fat and slow, not running through tackles at all this season. It's like that girlfriend that is a dime when you start dating her then she gets "comfortable" and gets chubby, lol. I'd honestly rather have Leshoure back at this point, over Winn as well.

Bush has 23 targets. And you can't be predicatble only passing when Bush is in the game.

when bell isn't producing, not running the correct routes and killing drives....youre better off being predictable and throwing it to bush instead lol :D

Predictable leads to picks lol. Bell has 9 catches out 15. Screen game needs to get going. Bell had over 500 yards last year. He can produce.

He doent look like the same player he was last year in last years offense. Not sure if hes got too much too think about, whether or not hes in football shape....or what it is. Bring on Riddick and give him a shot....8-10 touches. Bulk of carries/touches should go to bush...Lombardi and co already admitted to that mistake after the Carolina game.

bye bye owens...2 years too late.

Montell Owens no longer has a locker at Lions facility

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Montell Owens went on injured reserve Tuesday. By Wednesday, he didn’t have a locker in the Detroit Lions' practice facility, having been replaced by William Powell.

OwensThis is unusual for the Lions, who still have lockers for Bill Bentley, Corey Hilliard and Stephen Tulloch, all of whom are also on injured reserve.

When asked what caused Owens, who had been dealing with a hamstring injury, to go on injured reserve, Lions coach Jim Caldwell gave an answer that wasn't about Owens’ injury.

“It’s just one of those things that happened just in terms of numbers and injuries at other positions,” Caldwell said. “And so therefore you have to find a way to get guys up or adding guys to your squad.”

The Lions added practice squad running back George Winn to the team Tuesday by sending Owens to injured reserve. Caldwell also said he couldn’t say why Owens didn’t have a locker, only that he is on injured reserve.

What could this mean? It could mean Owens might not be on the Detroit Lions’ roster for much longer. The other times a player has no longer had a locker, he was released soon afterward.
