Glad the Pistons stayed away from that toxic waste dump.

Well they have Drummond, Baynes and little cap, so if there was a worse fit regardless of Howard's attitude, I'd like to see one.

Fair point, but there was some noise about the Pistons interested in Horford - similar fits in terms of contract requirements and position played.

Pretty drastic differences between the two. Horford came into the league as a PF and was forced to C because the Hawks didn't have any other options. They've been trying to find a quality C his entire career to push him back to his "natural" position at the 4. Instead, they lucked into an elite PF on the cheap (at least initially) in Millsap.

Horford has been an elite mid-range shooter before he moved that range out to the three point line more recently. He's a great passer and can defend on the perimeter. He's everything you would ask for out of a PF these days. Horford and Howard have never been similar players in terms of skillset.
