Stupid Tigers trading Jim Bunning, he was a great pitcher and your chart proves it,

Verlander with a few more years could be the top pitcher in WAR by end of decade for 20 year period.

what does the number after their name represent?

Edit: I just read the best hitters thread so I assume it is WAR

Hey we got Don Demeter and some guy named Hamilton who had WHIPS of over 2.0 in his two seasons in DET. All Bunning did was dominate the NL for four seasons.

Verlander with a few more years could be the top pitcher in WAR by end of decade for 20 year period.

Next to Ray Bare, the best RHP I've ever seen pitch for DET.

^^^^ The '75 season has a special place in my Tigers' fandom. Went to a lot of games, saw some really bad baseball, Lolich, Freehan, Horton, Stanley and Hiller were on the team, this guy was a cousin of HS friend who was called up for a cup of coffee and had a brief and indistinguishable career in MLB.
