Mock Drafts

If it turns out to be true, I also don't think he'll get drafted. If fact, he may not be picked up as an UFA either.

However, if it turns out to be BS.......I think he'll go in the low 2nd/top 3rd round.

I don't really read mock drafts because it's kind of like porn... all tease, never any please... but I did see on ESPN today someone (McShay maybe) was mocking Mixon to the Lions in the 2nd round at #53 overall, so it's possible he does go in the second day. Maybe I am just wrong.

LOL love the analogy.... so ture. Who even ever goes back and compares mocks to the ral thing.... because NO ONE EVER gets it right.

And yet, so many people will argue them after the draft. "Oh, we reached that that guy. All the mock drafts said he was a third rounder and we took him in the early 2nd! Our front office sucks.. blah blah blah!".

The only thing I know for 100% certain is that every mock draft ever put together is 99% wrong. Sure a lot of them may get the first round 50% right or so... but by the end of the 7th, it's 99% wrong. And yet so many people look at them as an absolute source of credible information on where a guy should be picked.

Mind boggling.

Per Rotoworld on Mixon....

"In a poll done by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, 6-of-11 NFL personnel executives said they wouldn't draft Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon "under any circumstances."
3-of-11 execs said they would take Mixon, and two did not reply. Of the three willing Mixon drafters, one executive said he would select Mixon in the first round, and the other two would consider Mixon in the third. Three executives quoted by the Journal-Sentinel said whether Mixon would be considered draftable by teams would be decided by those teams' owners. In another Journal-Sentinel poll, NFL executives were asked to rank this year's running back class. Mixon came in fourth, behind Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, and Christian McCaffrey."

Pretty candidate statements for NFL GMs who notoriously lie in an effort to avoid tipping their hands, so either this should be taken with a grain of salt, or Mixon has people on their heels in an unusual fashion.

The more important question is, how many draft boards is he on? If he's on your draft board and you need RB help....hes probably the 3rd or 4th best back in the draft and hes probably going in rd 2.

You dont drop someone into later rounds just cause hes a PR nightmare. You cant have your PR team say "ya well he hit a chick so we dropped him into rd 4 and that was a good round for us to support/justify us taking a woman beater."

Hes a PR nightmare if you take him in rd 1.....hes a PR nightmare if you take him in rd 7....hes a PR nightmare if you pick him up after not being drafted.

It comes down to....is he on your board or not. Do you have a need at RB. Are there better options at other positions of need at the time you draft. Stick to your board. Im guessing about 60% of teams have him off their board entirely.

Jabrill "dope show" peppers tests positive for diluted sample.

Diluted sample means his urine was very watered. He has stated he had cramps after running as both a linebacker and a safety, and chugged water after the runs to re-hydrate.

Possible. I'm doubtful given they always have Gatorade and things there that rehydrate better than just water. But it's a good enough story that GM's won't be deterred from drafting him.

I don't think this one hurts his draft stock any.

No thanks for peppers

Give me taco, Barnett, reddick or davis. Maybe bowser or Cunningham

Youll have like 3 or 4 1st round projected CBs there too. Some mix of Conley, Humphrey, White, King or Jackson.

I am ok with corner. Lawson, Hayden and Bademosi all free agents next year. I like king and his size. Prefer reddick or taco more though

Id love Reddick....hes all over the board in mocks. Ive seen him top 10 some, 10-15 a lot, and 21-28 alot.

Taco i hear a mixed bag.....i heard reports that theres GMs that would take him top 10. Then i heard GMs that said they dont like his motor or consistency or ability to get off blocks.

BPA defense in the first 3 rounds atleast....and we'll be in good shape.
