Why Tigers fans should be very concerned about J.D. Martinez?s injury.

Lisfranc (Midfoot) Injury.

Wish my nearly 70 year old memory could remember which Tigers player and/or MLB player(s) have had this Lisfranc sprain/injury in the last 10 years.
Almost certain of 1 Tigers player, just can't remember who it was.
Any of you guys remember?

Can't remember anyone. Seems more an NFL type injury than MLB.

Tonights game shows who he will replace on the roster when he comes back. By the feed back in the game thread.

J.D. Martinez was scheduled to DH in an extended spring training game on Wednesday in Lakeland, although Ausmus didn't have any details on how it went.

There's no timeline for Martinez's return, although early May projections now seem overly optimistic.
"He saw a doctor today. The doctor said he looks good. J.D. can do as much physically as he can tolerate," Ausmus said. "He has not played outfield. There's no schedule for him to go out on a rehab. When J.D. feels like he's able to play and run on the bases and in the outfield, he'll play. Until he tells us he's capable of doing that, he's probably just going to be DH'ing in extended spring training games and really not running the bases."
