Curious.

Typically, primary challenges against an incumbent representative or senator come from a challenger away from the center/establishment in both major parties, not the other way around.

That was yesterday maybe.

Seems like today he wants to replace Republicans who won't go along with him with Republicans will.

I don't know what he's going to want tomorrow.

Boy that's not smart... they have the power to impeach him!

He doesn't realize how thin the ice under him is getting.

Impeach him under what grounds?

well, gee...

wait, are you the kinda person that believes if a president commits an impeachable offense they would be impeached? or are you the kind of person who understands that the process is entirely political, subject to the whims of the party controlling congress and powerful special interest groups?

"High crimes and misdemeanors" are the sole grounds for impeachment that are defined in the Constitution.

What that means is the grounds can be pretty much whatever the seated United states House of Representatives wants them to be at any given time.

Historically the majority party in the house of representatives has for the most part shown great restraint in bringing impeachment simply because of political whim.

I've come around to the view that we're better off with Trump as president for four years, instead of fighting to impeach him. Pence is much worse.

Trump isn't going to get anything serious passed in 4 years. He's too lazy and doesn't have the temperment or attention span to hold lots of boring meetings and make lots of concessions to get legislation done. Sure his appointees will fuck up their agencies, but we can always undo the damage in time. And his executive orders are horrible and harmful to a lot of people, but Pence's would be just as bad, and exec orders can be revoked with the stroke of a pen.
