Red Berenson expected to retire

Love Red and there will never be another one like him .....but retirement is best for both the M hockey program and the AD at this point. Nothing worse than seeing a legend play past his/her best days but same goes for coaching and this past year's hockey team was horrible.

Time for a new Chapter at Yost - and THANKS, RED for everything!!!

Thank Jesus. It was a great ride, but its time. The last 5 yrs were not Michigan Hockey. Sort of like the last 5 yrs of Red Wing Hockey. Its time to clean house. Hockey Town is but a sad sad shell of what it was. Im heart broken.

Anyone heard anything about who they're looking at targeting to replace him? Only name I've heard is Mel Pearson, which seems like the natural choice.

Great articles. ML. Thanks! !! Lot of great coaching names on that list!!
