So what did the A's get in return for trading Foxx? As bad as the Ruth trade?
 
Jimmie Foxx and Johnny Marcum to Sox for a minor leaguer and Gordon Rhodes. Connie Mack busted up the team b/c of the depression. In 1933, they traded Lefty Grove to Boston w/Max Bishop and Rube Walberg for Bob Kline and Rabbit Warstler. ouch!
