Good movie. And usually people say the book was better than the movie. So its probably a pretty good read

I finished the book, it was pretty detailed.

The movie, like they all do, took poetic license with the events.

Sgt. Eversmann (Hartnett) was actually one of the guys that left the battle early to take the wounded Ranger who fell (Blackburn, played by Orlando Bloom) back to the base, and never went back out.

Norm "Hoot" Hooten, played by Eric Bana in the film was portrayed as a central figure among the Delta operators, in the Book he just led his squad, and many of the things that happened in the film actually happened to other "D-Boys".

Overall it was pretty good, I would recommend it for sure, if you liked the movie, you;ll probably like the book.

Just finishing up another great Jim harrison book ' The Great Leader' 2011.
Jim delivers like he always does...

I read "Game of Thrones" and "Clash of Kings" not to long ago. I have the other 3 books but I am taking my time. on those. Glad to see some others reading them.

I just finished a book called "The Passage" it was really good plus they're making a movie out of it.

Now I am reading a book called "Blackout"

The defensive end for the dive read, then the corner for the pitch. That's standard in our school's flexbone attack...oh shit, you meant BOOKS....

Read that too, made me sick

Just wrapping up Hayek's 'Road to Serfdom' and planning to start 'The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve' next. I've got 'The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression' on queue after that one.

I like the heavier political policy and historical economic dissection studies. They can be heavy reading, but it's amazing how predictably history repeats itself.

Code to Zero by Ken Follett for the 10th time. I love the book.

Litigators by John Grishom.

And I'm waiting for Kill Shot by Vince Flynn, February release.

I decided to read the Book "The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo' instead of seeing the films.. I normally don't read these type of books but I have to say it is pretty darn good 300 pages in... Plus it was a cheap $5.99 now....Trying to get it finished so i can go watch the movie... Not sure if I should watch the foreign version or the American version.. Both look good...

Just finished The Bronx is Burning. Man 1977 New York was worse than Detroit ever was.
