Lion Acquire 2 Tackles

Risk/reward.... slotting the 34th ranked tackle in as your lt is the definition of average. Clady being healthy can be a top 5 tackle.

Lol no clad is not a top 5 tackle. He has sucked many years and hurt many years. Kouandijo has way more upside than clady. By far

Clady sucked when healthy last year

If Clady is healthy, I think he's a possible Top 5. At the very least I wouldn't discount it.

He would be a Top 5 for the game and a half he plays before he's injured again.

Jokes aside, you just can't sign a guy with his injury history unless it's one hell of a deal. He's a very talented player, but his days of playing at a top level are behind him. He hasn't just had a few injuries, they have stacked up, and his body can't stay strong any more.

Ill take a game and a half! lol

With no down-field passing he could last 16 games due to the fact the DE doesn't have time to engage..

Hint: That was a knock on our short passing attack, i.e. we have no deep passing attack ;-)

Well, if Cyrus and Robinson don't work out, Clady is still out there. But as is, he's not a Lion and they are, and let's hope it works out.

ya im not expecting anymore moves.

Cyrus Robinson Samsonite Lang Wagner

is what im hoping for on opening day.

Glasgow and Dahl as quality back ups along the interior. Fucked if another tackle goes down. Like mitch said....stafford sets records on how quick he gets the ball out and how short we run routes....who needs an oline!

We have an oline. A good one. Tons of capital spent on it. If it doesn't work, quinn should be burned at the stake worse than Mayhew was. Althoug decker injury is terrible luck

why? atleast Quin tried....mayhew would still be sitting there like a dumbass and toss out a retarded quote in week 12 about how he underestimated the depth at the position after we set an all time record for most sacks given up.

Yeah, that was a good quote. But he learned from the best joke around, Matt "fat" Millen.

Something needs to stick. Throw Cyrus, Robinson and Dahl in a room and see who comes out alive. There's your LT for the next 8 games lol.

Reiff round 1, warford round 3, trade round 5 for sims, inherited backus and gosder 1st rounders, resigned backus 2012, fox round 4, Swanson round 3. 3 of those guys Quinn used last year and two got big deals. Resigned radiola 2009. Peterman 2009 too. Nobody was coming here 2009 so moves made.

Decker, Glasgow, Dahl. Then free agency for big names. 6th round for Robinson . Quinn got Mayhew s boys in Reiff, warford and Swanson for one year. Then Reiff got 11 per to play LT. Warford got 8 per from saints

The difference. Old cap with huge rookie deals in the Mayhew years led to reduced cap room. Quinn has the cap space when Calvin retired and suh walked. So Quinn had the ability to spend on Lang and Wagner.

Both tried and did well based on what was available. No cap space for mayhew

Plus Quinn inherited a good team that Mayhew built. Less holes. Mayhew inherited a complete rebuild

Can you for once hughes, just for once, just look around and observe the whole situation instead of blindly bashing Mayhew like he didn't even try

Yup all that and 7 years out of 8 you used the online as a excuse as to why Stafford sucked. Nice job mayhew.

Well, let's be fair for a minute.

Rieff and Warford were allowed to walk. Yes, offers were made, but it's not like the Lions fought to keep either one. Quinn made the offers, they took better deals elsewhere.

And why? Because the O-Line wasn't very good. Swanson was looking like a flop until we drafted Glasgow and gave him some competition, and so far, he's still only logged a part of one good season.

All you did was just prove Mayhew couldn't evaluate talent. He drafted guys. He signed guys. He put a LOT of work into the O-Line, and we can away with a less than adequate line for it.

Quinn made rebuilding that line his first priority because it just wasn't very good.

I don't poopoo on Mayhew for lack of trying. He knew it wasn't very good. But he didn't fix it, no matter how hard he tried, and that's just lack of being able to find the right talent.... job #1 for the GM.

The point was both made moves. Quinn will be crucified if his fail. Mayhew didnt fail some years and other times it was injuries. Mayhew had way more work to do. 2009 and 2010 dont even count.

Lions being good in 16 was alot due to mayhew

And Quinn re-signed Whitehead, Ngata and Walker. We'll see if Whitehead rebounds on outside and Ngata back to 2015 form at least (but should be more Robinson anyway)
