Jesse Ventura wins lawsuit against estate of Navy SEAL

Link.

$500K for damages, $1.3MM for unjust enrichment.

I remember this when it happened. The SEAL was Chris Kyle the "deadliest sniper" in US history; alleged Ventura (himself a former SEAL) insulted the navy SEALs in a bar in CA, after which he punched Ventura who ended up on the floor. Kyle wrote about the incident in the book. Ventura denied it happened, and sued him for defamation.

Kyle was killed by a gun-crazed PTSD sufferer in TX, but Ventura the suit going against his estate.

next it sounds like he's going to demand the publisher remove that section from future copies of the book.

yay for the justice system. good thing they didn't try to settle their differences with actual physical violence after all.

no, it's if you don't get punched, but someone publicly claims you did.
