Hurricane Harvey Relief

It's not even close. Trump is already the worst president of all time. It's not even close. Sure glad FDR blast Herbert Hoover and his crushing agenda of protectionism . Sound familiar ? Wrong side of history like always as republicans could care less about every day people. The never have and never will sadly.

I don't think you're qualified to make that judgement. you need to be right about something at least once in your life.

This coming from someone who thinks FDR was a bad president . Talk about clueless . You sure are. Lol.

He was a socialist at heart. He's responsible for the New Deal which deepened and prolonged the depression and limited personal economic freedom and autonomy. Through his crony corporatist economic interventionism, he massively expanded federal bureaucracy, instituted massive regulation. He greatly expanded the welfare state which has led to out of control entitlements that have exploded the national debt not to mention what it's done to private charity. He was a racist who refused support Republican efforts to make lynching a federal crime, interned the Japanese, invited only white Olympians to the White House after the '36 games snubbing Jesse Owens, one of our greatest Olympians, denied refugee status to thousands of European Jews despite full knowledge that Hitler was slaughtering them en masse. Need I go on?

FDR: easily the third greatest president after Washington and Lincoln.

by far.

Show me a POTUS absent some/many warts, and I will raise you William Henry Harrison. We need another FDR who would put Murkins to work rebuilding our crumbling postwar national infrastructure, not a fucking border-wall.

Back when Hoover and FDR were in office, most of the products and services were created, mfg, repaired, and purchased/leased in the US...until the 80s, when off-shoring increased exponentially, esp with normalized trade relations with "Red" China. Then with the advent and proliferation of broadband internet, outsourcing dramatically increased. But you wouldn't think that was the case with Republicans in Congress, who pretend that good paying "career" jobs for those with average or below skills, an associates/bachelors degree or less, and average intelligence can still be found in abundance....nvm the crushing student debt caused when attempting to seek higher education or esp advanced degrees. But, hey, they also want to eliminate government funding for education as well, while ramping up already outrageous defense/military spending to close to a trillion per year.

Then enters Trump, who falsely promises protectionism and the return of jobs to the US, and his gullible base buying into it, hook, line, and sinker. Not too long ago, I figured that @ least the jobs here that had some protection by requiring a physical presence, were the ones for avg joe blow to shoot for, but with rapid advances in AI and robotics, even pickup/delivery/transportation jobs are being threatened.

Please save some donation money for Hurricane Irma. It is already a category 5 and is suppose to go right up Florida. I am spending my day off putting up shutters.

Hopefully it will take a track away from the EC, or at worst skirt it, from a couple of computer models I saw. If it enters the GoM, it will likely become a cat 5 again, and hit LA, GA, or the Panhandle/WC of FL. If it is a cat 4/5 and goes up straight through the center/middle of FL, the devastation would be severe, esp in the southern half.
