Calipari is refuting this now. It seems like he's been sniffing around the NBA the past few years. Of course this could be him just angling for even more money from UK. Again.

Calipari has connections to UK and the UK players in the league ... he'd likely leverage them to attract these players to NY.
 
NY suddenly decided to not ask permission to interview one of their top two candidates, Masai Ujiri. That could be because he's still under contract and it would take a hefty compensation package for Toronto to let him go.

NY could be all in on Cleveland's former GM, David Griffin.
