Detroit Lions - Team Notes

A FAR CRY FROM BARRY SANDERS.
Per ESPN Stats & Info, the Lions haven't had a 100-yard rusher since Week 13 of 2013, when Reggie Bush did so against the Packers. That's 47 straight games without one.

SWOT Analysis: New Orleans Saints Edition.
SideLionReport

Strength against New Orleans.
Weakness against New Orleans.
Opportunities for Detroit.
Threats against Detroit.

This game could prove to be the toughest test that the Lions have faced yet. The Saints match up well in most areas against Detroit, and are dominant where the Lions are weakest.
A loss against New Orleans would give a window of opportunity for both Minnesota and Green Bay to take the division lead, and would damage the team?s Wild Card chances greatly.
This isn?t a ?must win? game, but it is one that the Lions want to take to get some breathing room for the playoff push.

Marvin Jones (thigh) is listed as questionable for Week 13 against the Saints.
Beat writers didn't notice Jones doing much during the practice week, while the Detroit Free Press wrote Friday that Jones is a "significant" question mark to play against New Orleans.
Specifically, beat writer Dave Birkett tweeted Friday that he thinks Jones will play, but "no" in response to a question asking whether Jones is 100 percent. Jones has failed to produce since the first few weeks of the season.
He's a low-floor WR3 option despite the plus matchup.

Ameer Abdullah (foot, injured reserve) was still sporting a walking boot before his visit with Dr. Robert Anderson last week.
The visit reportedly showed Abdullah's foot is "structurally sound," but the boot puts a bit of a damper on his expected return.
The Lions still have not officially tabbed Abdullah as their return player, although it seems very likely with LB Jon Bostic dealing with complications in his own recovery from a foot issue.
Abdullah is still a better injury bet than Adrian Peterson, but it is far from a sure thing he will return value this fantasy season.

Theo Riddick (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 13.
Riddick went through another "limited" practice week, but he's in no danger of sitting out against the Saints.
The style of that game suits Riddick's skill set. He's an intriguing DFS play on full-PPR sites.

Lions WLB DeAndre Levy (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 13.
Levy has been getting in limited practices, but he's not expected to return Sunday.
The Lions could also be without LB Tahir Whitehead (questionable, knee) against the Saints.
