Verlander traded to Houston, TJ Surgery, Wins 2 WS, Wins 3rd Cy Young Now a Met

MLB TV showed how Houston showed JV film on how he released his pitches. As a results. He slowed down his speed and increase his spend rate as a results.

Wonder do the Tigers do any thing like that?

It is called having an analytics department. And no, we have a token analytics. We have an old school GM and an old school manager who do not embrace analytics or put emphasis on it.

Even Anibal Sanchez saw a performance bust once gone from this system.

Cameron, Perez, and Rogers. Rogers needs to be a Tigers' regular by next season.

EDIT: Just got a tweet that Rogers was promoted to Toledo today. TS: 1130.

I'm actually kinda bummed he got moved from Erie. Would've rather he catch Mize, Manning and Faedo more. Unless they move him to Detroit, taking him from those pitchers just doesn't make sense.

He's 24 and can certainly outhit Greiner. :hitter:

At least Perez finally pitched again yesterday.

Obviously no matter what happens frkm here on out that trade was a home run for Houston. It's not looking too bad for Detroit so far. Cameron and Rogers have both looked good.

Another thing to note, if we don't trade JV that season we would have certainly won at least 1 more game and Mize would have been pitching in the Giants system right now.
