Houston is up 2-1 in the series. Pretty entertaining offensive basketball. Harden a shot at the buzzer to go up three zip. Both Harden and Westbrook are playing great.

Westbrook isn't playing great....he is a stat compiler. He is shooting 38% from the field (taking 30 shots a game), 22% from 3 (taking 8 a game) and is averaging 6 turnovers a game.

Harden is playing well. Of course, Lebron James is also playing as well as anybody in the playoffs (much better than Westbrook)

He is shooting 55% from the filed (taking 22 shots a game); 47% from 3 and only 3 turnovers a game.

While none of the stats you bring up are wrong, they don't tell the actual story. OKC is a debacle on offense without Westbrook. Nobody on that team besides him can reliably create shots for themselves or others. Westbrook's supporting cast is one of the worst shooting groups in the entire league. Don't ignore that Westbrook is averaging over 10 assists per game on a team that, again, is filled with really bad scorers/shooters. He's also averaging over 13 free throws per game. Those may not be as fun to watch, but they are the MOST efficient shots in the game.

I'm not saying Westbrook has been efficient overall. He hasn't. But given the hyper extreme load he carries for that team, he's been about as efficient as could be expected. He's not just stuffing the stat sheet, he's carrying an entire team on his back. As a comparison, check out Lebron's stats in the 14-15 playoffs, when he had to carry Cleveland without Love or Irving for whole series. His stats look a LOT like Westbrook's. Maybe if OKC was playing in the shitty East, he could will his team to the Finals too.

Westbrook is playing great. He has NO ONE on that team who can score.
