Osu

Even if we convert on that 4th down and score what's the point? Although there were some ehh calls by the offensive coordinators the problem was the defense, we couldn't even come close to stopping them. It was so sad watching Taiwan, Davis, and the other linebackers chase their recievers. It was even sadder watching the D-line get absolutely destroyed by an inexperienced O-line. All that hype for Shilique and he has not lived up to it. The only guy on the defense that has been solid all year minus maybe 2 plays is Trae Wayne's. He is better than Darqueze, and I'll argue it all day if you disagree. Ohio State didn't even bother throwing at him. I can recall one pass being completed on him for about 9 yards that game.

still stunned by this, JT got rid of the ball quickly but our d-line was playing very well and healthy, OSU had one returning starter on the OL. really, I just didn't think the game would go this way, 1100 yards in total offense, JT making every throw he needed to make, never overthrowing or missing receivers. They would line up for that designed qb run and we never stopped it, when it seemed like we had him sealed he'd bounce outside. I know our offense scored enough points and cooks #s looked good but he threw for about 180 in the 4th after it was pretty much out of reach. if he made a few more throws early on, we would have controlled the clock and gotten some more points, it might not have been such a track meet. it just sucks to lose now, we were in the national title hunt for 8 weeks, good feeling, now we can't win the big ten, we've been a little spoiled. in the end, we weren't good enough to make it, we didn't deserve it.

if you're an optimist, be happy that we scored the most points ever on OSU on saturday

He didn't have to get rid of the ball that fast - his line protected him very, very well. and he was able to be patient and throw the ball downfield pretty much whenever they wanted to. They completely manhandled our front 7. It was a pretty awful performance all around - we had an extra week to prepare and we played a team that barely escaped crappy valley w/ a narrow victory and we were awful.

the line did a good job but he was getting the ball out quickly, especially on that first drive with all of those mid range throws. He was making throws that NFL QB's would miss 8 of 10 times, namely the 79 yard score on the play after the missed FG and the 3rd and 23.
