Instead of great news that Chris Ilitch is going to sell the team, and bye bye head bozo Al Avila and the "Idiots deluxe" group of Chadd, Littlefield, Owens, Bream, and Pleis, we get 3 or 4 year old news that Ausmus is gone.

that's how it works. The GM lets things go to hell then gets rid of the manager. It buys him time...he tells his bosses that it's the manager's fault. AA will get fired in a few years...I think that's inevitable.

I have no idea if Chris Ilitch should sell the team. I certainly question his judgement if he keeps AA as the GM. You are right...he should clean house. Fire everyone and start from scratch.

195 RS = 4.06 R/G

327 RA = 6.81 R/G

I am not sure there is a current Tiger pitcher who hasn't choked in the last 2 months. Most don't even belong on a 40-man roster.

11-39 .220 WPCT

8 games behind the next worst MLB team at 20-32 .385 WPCT (NYM)

CLE is 40-11 .784 WPCT during the same time, 28.5 Games better than DET

I'm surprised but for a different reason.. He mentioned he would have left anyway even if the Tigers offered to keep him. Why would anyone hired a manager with that kind of attitude.

The interview would go like this.

Interviewer: I read that you were going to leave after the season regardless of being fired. Why would you do this?

Brad: Because the owner and upper management are a bunch of idiots that don't know their asses from a hole in the ground.

Interviewer: I understand.

Brad: Because the owner and upper management began figuring out I was an idiot and I needed to leave while the I could still fool people. I guess I can still fool the Mets and Phillies.

Interviewer: I understand.

Fixed it.

Neither would have your's, but mine is probably more likely.

lol...so you think it is more likely that Brad is going to say that HE is the idiot...not blame upper management?

That isn't very likely!

Yes...I am saying it is more likely Brad would admit he is an idiot in an interview over eliminating all possibility he would ever be hired as an MLB manager again. You think blaming upper management in a interview helps with job opportunities?

And he can always claim self-deprecating humor. Which he cannot make with your quip. Again, in the realm of possibilities, mine in more possible, neither is probable.

I was just making a joke and you take it literally. I'm starting to think you have no sense of humor at all.
