I think much of this is due to the questions about quarterback play. If they finish in top 20, that would be a really good start to the Harbaugh era, IMO...but finishing outside top 40 just doesn't feel like a possibility with Harbaugh so these seem low and only reason I can grasp is the QB question...but with Harbaugh keeping a close eye and the raw talent at the position, I have more confidence in top 20 than fear of sub 40 finish.
