Webvideo Highlights of the Tigers 6 - 3 win over the indians.

Ian Kinsler's 27 HR's are tied with Damion Easley (1998) for the 2nd most HR's in a season by a 2nd baseman in club history.

The only Tiger 2nd baseman to hit more homers in a season is Lou Whitaker, who hit 28 in 1989.

Miguel Cabrera hits his 306th home run as a member of the Tigers, tying him with Hank Greenberg for 3rd in Tigers history.

Miguel Cabrera's home run was also the 444th of his career, tying him with Adrian Beltre for 40th in MLB history.

Cabrera’s home run came at the most opportune of times, as half of his home runs have this season. Of his 36 home runs, 18 have tied the game or given the Tigers the lead. 15 of those have gone out to the opposite field, leading the major leagues.

Ian Kinsler: Knocked a two-run homer to left to put the Tigers ahead for the first time.

Miguel Cabrera: Blasted an opposite-field three-run shot in the fifth to give the Tigers a 6-3 lead.

Jose Iglesias: Hit an RBI double in the third, and started the fifth inning with a single to right.

Michael Fulmer: Lasted just 3 1⁄3 innings, giving up six hits and three runs in the process. He also allowed three walks amid three strikeouts.

STATS AND REACTIONS:
Ian Kinsler’s homer in the third inning was his 27th of the year, which ties him with Damion Easley (1998) for the second-most dingers by a second baseman in franchise history. He’s one away from tying Lou Whitaker (1989) for the team record (28).

Miguel Cabrera’s homer in the fifth was his 36th of the year and his 306th as a Tiger, tying Tigers great Hank Greenberg.
