Girls softball Washington region

Collusion against the big ten big time.Gophers not very happy about being unseeded . Even with nations best record the selection committee didn't think the Gophers were one of the 16 best teams in the nation and to receive a home regional. Odd thing is the committee had them ranked 7th last week. Gophers have a 25 game winning streak. Usa/coaches poll has them ranked 2nd lol..

Yeah, this bracket is bs! As bad as it is in football, it is even worse in the other sports.
 
Gophers not being seeded is bad. Their explanation doesn't hold with me
 
Girls only 1 hit through four innings and it's 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth.

Bad time for hitting to disappear.
 
Betsa with 13 k's in a 3-1 one hitter !!!! We only had 4 hits but winning is winning !!!!

There were 3 no hitters today in the ncaa field .
 
5 pm EDT Saturday May 20 v Wasington next on ESPN 2.

Men finish the regular season noon Saturday May 20 v MSU on the BTN.

Men are only a half game out of first. We need last place psu to win a series verses Nebraska by taking the last game today and we need to beat msu in East Lansing.
 
They are going to have to get the bats going. Hope Betsa can hold up, at least through the regional. What other pitcher do they have? What happens next year?

As far as the tournament, I saw that all 13 SEC teams were in the tournament. What crap!
 
Wow, the men are relatively just getting underway in East Lansing-no score in the top of the third-but they just showed the Nebraska Penn State score and Nebraska is up 10 nothing.

So very improbable for Michigan to win the regular-season championship at this point.
 
Baseball wins but so does Nebraska. Number 2 seed for the baseball team in the btt.
Pretty sure michigan is a lock for the ncaa win or lose in the btt.

Betsa was great but that is all we have and I agree we need our sticks to get hot.
 
Michigan down 3-1. Christner lead off with a HR. Betsa gave up a HR to leadoff batter. They combined infield and hit to deep center to get the next two. Betsa out in 1st, Blanco pitching. Got a batter to hit it back to her and then a strikeout for the 3rd out. Guess Coach is saving Betsa's arm for the next game. Michigan had better get their bats going!
 
No communication between the infielders. Note to Coach: Work on infield decision making and communication.
 
Blanco just hit a 3 run HR. 8-4 now. Washington's pitcher has only thrown 55 pitches through 4 innings. They can hit this pitcher, but they have got to make her throw more pitches.

Fundamentals of fielding and baserunning has always been her weakness as a coach.

Recruiting, coaching pitching and hitting and motivation or her strengths.
