Pipeline oil spill in Iowa

Oil is with us for another 100 years probably give or take. I would prefer moving away from this energy as soon as possible, and we need investment in those area's.
With trump's Billionaire executives in his little
circle my guess is those type of alternative initiatives will be taking a really far back seat as he is already saying he wants Less regulation, and the guy he wants to run the EPA looks like a termination specialist at best. I just hope we do not fall to far behind the rest of the world on renewable energy as we should be leading the way.

Yeah. The sooner we transition, the better.

Glad it was in a isolated area but this highlights how fragile pipelines can be. Need to figure out how to make them stronger and tougher.

The pipelines are not properly maintained and the oil companies hit hard on any whistleblowers who try to provide evidence for that. Additionally, most US media sources will not report on such stories because they are in the pocket on the oil companies.

For the same reason that they don't report on the dangers of fracking.

This happened about 20 miles away from me. A lot of people are pissed and have been told that their water source was contaminated.

With the congressional review act going away it will make it easier for Republicans to pollute this world for profits.
