Brownback slapped upside the head again

https://morningconsult.com/state-governor-rankings/
Brownback and Snyder are 2 of the least popular Governors in the US.

no surprise Scott Walker is up there too. and in Illinois, Bruce Rauner.

just thinking aloud here: it's not solely a matter of party affiliation... I don't know anything about the gov of CT, but Gina Raimondo in RI is basically a Wall Street creature, brought in to cut public benefits and privatize whatever she can get her hands on.

i think that's the common thread of these unpopular governors... regardless of their party affiliation, they come from the business world and live only to serve the business world. That and they have boatloads of Koch Money and dark money behind them. more popular governors - both R and D - came up through the state's political structure, and are more in tune with the needs of their constituents.

Chris Christie and Brownback don't exactly fit the "shameless corporate servant" model... they're just bad people.

If you guys haven't read it yet, you might enjoy this account of Sam Brownback's brother. this part about sums it up:

...drive-by shootings, death threats, detonating explosives on his property, slaying a neighbor?s dog, stealing a neighbor?s cattle, vandalizing adjacent property, hit-and-run driving and killing a fawn outside of hunting season and leaving it gutted in a neighbor?s driveway.

According to Carpenter?s story, neighbors in the small town, about 45 miles south of Olathe, describe Jim Brownback?s actions as ?neighborhood terrorism.?

He basically keeps getting away with this stuff because the local sheriff won't touch him on account of his brother's power within KS. It's like something out of the Duke's of Hazzard... if the Duke Boys were completely evil.

Damn this is crazy stuff. His brother needs to be locked up before he shoots someone.

so the GOP lead Kansas legislature approved a medicare expansion for the People of Kansas... and Brownback vetoed it because fuck them, that's why.

Brownback is one piece of heartless shit. Nothing new there though.

Snyder is quickly moving up the ranks. He's a HORRIBLE governor.

Brownback to step down: link!

Literally EVERYONE in Kansas, from Republicans, to Democrats, Socialists, & libertarians agrees he is a failure and his policies were bad and stupid.

maybe the disaster he caused will finally help idiots on the Right understand that blindly pushing through tax cuts without any concern for funding the things those taxes funded is a bad idea?

And even though Brownback FAILED MISERABLY AS A LEADER, don't worry he still won't need to get a real job; GOP welfare takes care of their own. Brownback will be Trump's "ambassador at large for international religious freedom"... whatever the fuck that means.
