Both of them hit O'Neil at the same time, talk about serendipity.

Matt Morrisey's dad played LB at MSU in the 80s, his father is the one who broke Jim Harbaugh's arm in 1984 in a victory. Grayson Miller's father was Johnny Miller, Johnny Miller intercepted 4 of Michigan legend Demetrius Brown's 7 interceptions in the 1987 victory that led us to the Rose Bowl.

For these two kids to be involved in one of the all time great MSU plays is too perfect.

Also, Miller looks like an absolute stud at safety, explosive athlete, great range, just needs the experience. A little from Coach D on him.

?When he came here at camp, he had one scholarship offer, Western Kentucky,? Dantonio said of a June 2014 visit that was quickly followed by an offer and acceptance. ?And we looked at him at camp and after he long jumped 10-6 and verticaled 37 inches and ran two 4.4 (40-yard dashes), and then went outside and caught the ball and did the drills, and he was 6-foot-2 and a half, 205 (pounds), we thought ??

Dantonio smiled.

?? Maybe we just ought to offer him a scholarship. So he is everything that we thought he?s going to be.?
