Game 3: Lions @ Packers Thread

I do think there's is something in that Lions curse, and it has cost them games before. The one that sticks out the most is when they invented the Calvin rule. However, last Sunday was not one of those instances where they were jobbed. It was a pretty sound beating up and down the field until GB let off the gas.

Maybe we can call this the Lawson rule. Or maybe even the LKP rule..

Its odd how good teams dont have to make a millions excuses as to why they lose all the time. They just win inspite of calls, injuries, etc etc etc. not enough weapons, bad coaching, coaches not knowing the rules, too many penalties, not enough penalties called on the other team, made up rules, hail marys etc etc etc....these are things that come up, stick out and are remembered when your franchise sucks ass. If you just find out how to win some of these games then no one remembers them...you overcame it. But we never overcome it....we just add it to the long list of excuses about how we should be good but never are. go lions!

Winning teams get the calls in their favor. Some teams avoid enough major injuries some years
2014 lions for instance.Lions 2011-2016 have just as much talent as any super bowl winner. They were royally screwes in about 5 games in 2013, 3 games in 2015 and now 2 in 2016. We should be talking about lions as consistent winner but refs took it away

I wish we had a thumbs down option on this site

Well, when the NFL comes out the NEXT day and apologizes for a bs penalty, then it is somewhat getting jobbed. How can it not be? Lol. The NFL is a bully league....they do wtf they want and then tell you that they're sorry for what they did lol. It's a joke.
Now, we lost that Packers game but we made a comeback. Say what you want....Packers let off the gas.....our defense was a joke in the 1st half.......our offense was terrible......blah blah blah. That game wasn't over. Lions made adjustments and the Packers didn't. Wish i could have watched that game to see what happened lol

Bottom line, no one knows if that penalty cost a TD. So it's not called and it's 3rd and 11. Maybe they score on the next play or two minutes later.. Rodgers threw 6 times in the 2nd half. Because it was a blow out.. The Lions didn't make adjustments. Rodgers decided not the throw, game was in the bad and the defense did let up..

Once it was 31-3 game was over..

Rodgers threw 6 times becuse they went incomplete and lions had many long offensive drives. All drives stopped with rosgers passing twice. Him rushing is attemtping to pass first too

Packers had foot full on pedal

3rd and 11, 3rd and long after opi, 3rd and long after hold on 2nd td. Lions won that game

There was still a second half to play. The game wasn't over. The Packers are not good enough of a football team to just "take it easy" on teams. It was obviously far from over because the Lions made a huge comeback.

Star QB throws 6 times. It was over. Garbage time.

Lions controlled the clock. Lions made stops while rodgers was throwing. There was some scrambles too. Clealy packers were still playing hard

They were playing hard trying to get their run game going..

Well, Rodgers threw it like 5 times in the 2nd half, so... Yeah, you are wrong.

If they kept their offense going and continued to do what they were doing in the first half, they would have won by 40.
