Youtube clips is 3 short volumes totalling around 25 minutes. Very hard hitting game as most were back then . Kicking field goals was a issue. Cleveland out gained detroit and had 10 more first downs but HOF kicker Lou Garza miss 3 field goals. I think if I remember it right he had some cracked ribs. Lions defense was good and held numerous times although if the tip pass rule was not in forced the game may have turned out different. Lions win thier first title since 1935 by a score of 17-7.

Hope the links work.

Thank you very much. Better quality than I would have thought..

Your welcome.I like looking at the lions when the were great.

I know . Sadly this one and the 1957 are the better of the four. No sound for the 1953. I always wonder if the nfl has better stuff in thier offices. Alot of old footage just didn't last or was lost.

It's all we got. I remember when I first started watching I'm like "Man, I can't wait until the Lions get to the SB." Never thought it's take so long..

Me neither. For some reason I took today's loss really hard. I'm not sure why it felt like a playoff loss to me. Like the 10 I have seen in my life. But I really thought we could manage this easy schedule this year to at least a 9-7 or 10-6 and I just do not understand the lack of discipline. Year after year it's the same old shit.

Bad line .
Drops.
Penalties .
Defense plays decent but let's winning play in.
Offense moves ball one half but not the other.
Poor coaching
Poor play calling.
(Seriously 1st and goal at the one and our coach is to chicken to run the ball).
Lions can never stay healthy and have no depth year after year.

Im sure i am missing some how many times do we lose to shItty teams in games we are supose to win..
