You never know Bob, Sometimes the players you thought would have an impact don't, and other times, a player you/we didn't give much of a chance to make it and succeed does. It's a crap shoot.

But,

Tigers finish up draft dealings with 33 picks signed.
from Jason Beck's Tigers blog

The Tigers officially announced the Tyler Gibson signing Tuesday, along with 18th-round pick Brett Harrison of Green Valley (Nevada) High School. Those two deadline deals wrap up their draft with 33 out of 50 selections signed, including everyone in the top 20 rounds. For a team that didn

KC, I really like the Gibson signing. I would say Westlake, Gibson and Loy are ahead of McCann. None of them are up there with Castellanos or Smiley from last year but I think Gibson has decent upside. I didn't think we would sign him

Tigers prospect Nick Castellanos raising some buzz.
from the detnews

Castellanos, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound shortstop-turned-third baseman, is putting up numbers worthy of major league buzz: a .307 average, six home runs and 66 RBIs in 116 games. He leads the Midwest League with 133 hits and is fifth in average.

"Third base is still new to me because I played shortstop all through high school. I'm still learning the ground, the proper footwork and the positioning and bunt plays," he said. "It's a learning experience and it's unique because you're closer to the hitter. You don't get to pick your bounces as much as you do up the middle."

Hey KC, any guys in the lower systems who might get a look when rosters expand? I keep hearing about this Castellanos kid...

He's only 19 and at Low A West Michigan.
At least 2 more likely 3 years away. Having a very good year after the first 3/4 weeks.

it's good question, but
I don't expect too many callups, as Leyland has said in the past he doesn't like or want more than a few, maybe 5/6.
Usual suspects, well Inge will be back, Danny Worth, Rhymes,
Fu-Te Ni ?? the catcher for sure Omir Santos,
Maybe Clete, maybe Strieby maybe not.

Outside of those definites, and possibles, I can't see any player from the lower classes coming up,

Some might want to see Jacob Turner again, it would be nice, but he might be maxed out in his innings by then.
