I remember watching the game with may dad thinking that the Lions could beat either of these teams that season . Lions had lost to the Cowboys 5-0 in the playoff game that season . Just a few made plays from a super bowl maybe . They had just as good as a defense as either team that season.

Cowboys vs Colts . Crazy game and plays and hard hitting .

Lions might have beaten the Cowboys, had QB Greg Landry been replaced earlier in the 4th quarter with the vet Bill Munson. Landry couldn't get near the Cowboys' RZ, or even within FG distance all game long.

Yeah the move should have been made to Bill earlier . I was a little kid at the time but that was the start of my Lions heart break.

Yeah, I wake up in a cold sweat remembering that 5-0 loss maybe five times a week.

I forget which came first, the field goal or the safety, but after the second score, whichever it was, I was thinking, "damn, we could have overcome that one score, but that next score...I don't know about that."
