Things to know about this game
McHugh is 0-3 with a 6.86 ERA in four starts against the Tigers between 2015 and 2016. He was particularly roughed up in two starts last year, throwing just seven innings and allowing 20 hits and 12 runs.

Miguel Cabrera and Nicholas Castellanos have done the most damage against McHugh, batting .550 (11-for-20) combined with three doubles. Both sluggers homered in Friday's opener.

Though it's still his least-used pitch, Boyd's curveball has seen marked improvement over last season. Opponents are just 5-for-26 with a .192 slugging percentage off it in 2017, according to Statcast, compared to 8-for-27 with a .519 slugging percentage last season.

McHugh is making just his second start since coming off the disabled list. He was sidelined since the end of spring training with an elbow injury. He's 0-3 with a 6.86 ERA in four career starts against the Tigers.

Nice to hear from John Hiller that inning,
it was the highlight with the Tigers chasing the shit mchugh was throwing to them.

6 pitch inning for Boyd top 5th,

Tigers offense will get out in 5 pitches,

Gonna have a cigar now, if I wait, just doesn't feel like a TVC later.

I just saw and posted this n the team notes.

That hirsute mumza Fenech I thought got it right. They don't have that fire or toughness or mojo, and I can't remember the last time they showed some.
imo, they lost it when Max left.

No leaders

Who's going to watch a chance to see Beltre get 3000 tonight, just 2 more hits. MLB Network will have live look in's.. Most excited I've been in some time.

Boyd just recorded the Tigers 56 QS good enough for FOURTH place in the MLB, and they are not even close to being in the playoffs right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who gets excited when they tie it 3-3 knowing we still have Ausmus and his desire to use Rondon.

Boyd at 80 pitches after 7 just like Zimmerman was last night Boyd gets to come out for the 8th Zimmerman did not, LOL brad is such a dink, get boooce up brad don't want to go and win now would we?

Well that totally just contradicted what he said after last night.

That's better take him while the pitch count is still in good shape again just to not make yourself look like a contradiction good job dumbass now make sure ya bring boooce in for the 8th jackass
