Not gonna trip over Copeland, but like LKP said, Copes is a good ST guy. At least he's a backup and I have faith in Quinn and these scouts to scout that wire...

I hope this isn't a theme for this season.

Hyder is a big loss......Copeland is replaceable. This gives Zettle every opportunity to prove himself.

Lot more faith than me. Quinn isn't a magic magician. It's mid August there's not much out there..

There's plenty out there. Teams will be cutting guys during preseason. Not gonna lie though....worried about the Hyder replacement, but Copeland isn't a huge loss....next man up!

Ansah, Washington and Bryant is still a good top 3 (starting Week 5). They just need to get healthy. Bryant has the 4 game suspension too. Zettel or Voloaga can be a nice number 4 by how they have been playing.

There are options out there too (Odrick, Mario Willaims, Freeney). Lions have added well in August before (Rashean Mathis)

Austin's defense brings out the best in the lesser known players. I don't think it's a coincidence that guys like Johnson and Hyder have flourished in his system. If you even have an ounce of ability to get to the QB then Austin will use it. Guys like Washington, Valoaga, Barrett have shown early flashes. Time to exploit that ability. My money is on Zettel or Valoaga to turn more heads....

OK. I will bet you the Lions have less than 42 sacks. If they have more I will not post on the Lions board for the entire off season. If they have less you don't post during the off season. Most people will be happy if you win....everyone will be happy if I win.

Stop trying to divert the attention from the fact that you were wrong in saying it was a career year for every body.

Also I said probable. Not guaranteed. Injuries can happen and are a factor still with Ziggy and Washington. 5 of the top 6 DEs are hurt. Which is absolutely insane and terrible luck

Also. The 2015 team with no Suh and no Fairley had 43 sacks.
The 2014 team with Suh and Fairley (half year). Had 42 sacks by the way

The 2016 team had an injured Ansah, no LB sacks. The LE (Hyder an unknown had 8 sacks). So yes Washington can get 8. The LBs can do more than nothing. Ziggy can be a double digit sack guy (12)

Bryant had 3 in 5 games with Detroit in 2016. 5 in 12 is not some crazy notion.

42 sacks with a healthy Ansah is not some idea.

You need to be more observant and realize why I say things. I have very valid reasons why I would say 42 sacks for Detroit.\

And I will not make the bet because of injury factors. The talent is there for 42. We deserve Ansah and Washington healthy

There are other scenarios. Washington 6 sacks and Robinson 4 sacks. Does that make you feel better. Washington 4 sacks, Robinson 4 sacks, Ngata 2 sacks, and Jordan Hill 2 sacks. How about that. That's pretty feasible

Ziggy is the lynchpin and very talented and I won't bet a year based on his health. 12 sacks is the most probable with him on the field.
