Mayhew pre draft presser

Just because you think he's a good vet doesn't mean I have to agree. I think it's time to move on..Suh me ;-)

The tape agrees with me. The offer is out there. We'll see what happens. I actually like Blalock better (who came in for a visit) but I understand bringing Sims back. He's done well for us. I know you people freak out when someone is over 30. Sims would help us. And we might still draft a guard too. Very good depth then.

It's not about being over 30 but I don't believe he played well. And on top of that I remember when Crayola supposedly played well in 2013 and others wanted him back and he was terrible last season.

I do think it's important to have some veteran leadership on a somewhat young line but I just rather go elsewhere..

Have to admit, Suh me was pretty funny ..

The Theory of 150 dictates you should be concerned if an offensive lineman is over 30

But the age of the others say they're not close to 150. Nothing wrong with one vet I just think Sims is not the guy..

The basis of the rule is 5 guys aged 30+.

I would watch a guy closely after the age of 30.

Can you get away with a weak link in the armor? Yes. Do you want a weak link? No.

Not exactly true. The rule of 150 says when the total age of your offensive line reaches 150, it will not have a good season.

We have young O-linemen in Rieff, Warford, Waddle, and Swanson (assuming Warford and Waddle are healthy).

Which means an agins Sims bends the age curve, but won't break it.

In fact, given the age of those guys, Sims could be 40 and not break the Rule of 150.

However, in principle, I agree with you. Draft young O-linemen every year and keep them young. You don't have to sink a 1st rounder into good young linemen, you can get guards in the 5th and 6th, centers in the 3rd and 4th... just keep rotating those pieces often.

And I am not joking. The team that puts a draft pick into it's line every single year without fail is a team that will compete every single year without fail.

.

sounds like the same line we had for a majority of last year. And you negative nancies did nothing but cry and use them as a crutch for how shitty Stafford played.

I wouldn't mind the negative nancies so much if they would just defend one position and not have one claim counteract the other every single time.

Injuries. Not the same offensive line. Waddle, warford, sims while playing, reiff, Hilliard. Various injuries

It's like you people watch hgtv during lions games and then make a bunch of negative stuff up. Raiola gone too

Bear in mind, there is nothing saying that an O-Line under 150 years of combined age will be good or great.

Shit, I'm 290. Couple more big macs, and I could be right there. Doesn't mean I'd be any good at it.

The Rule of 150, which has been documented in a few articles, is that NO offensive line who's combined age has reached 150 years has had a good season... like pretty much ever.

My point here was Sims wouldn't push us over the 150 year limit, thus ensuring a bad season.

A bad lg, c and rt like our current penciled in starters would ensure a bad season offensively.

He said HGTV.. like Home and Garden TV... which I watch quite a bit too. But not the same as HDTV.

I have a question. Is watching gardening on television a bit like porn for Arizonans?

Not at all. We have amazingly nice gardens here, but we tend to grow things that are more heat resistant and require lower water. Corn is a nice one here, tomatoes are popular (thought hey require a ton of water). And that's just the edibles. We have amazingly beautiful natural flowers and plants that thrive in the desert.

However, I watch it more for the home improvement shows. I'm a cheap bastard... maybe the cheapest sumbitch ever. I love learning how to fix the broken stuff in my house rather than paying a plumber $100 to do five minutes of work.

Fixed a busted toilet in my house last week... learned how on HGTV.

Edit: I laughed my ass off at the question though.. that shit was funny.
