Pretty darn good footage. No sound. Lions were defending NFL Champions that season. They finished 8-4 and third place behind 10-1-1 packers , and 9-3 Bears. So close too. Lions started 3-0 but lost the next three games all on the road 20-18 to the Packers. 12-10 to the Bears ,and 14-7 to the Giants. Then won 5 out of the last 6 games to finish 8-4 including this 13-7 win over the Bears. Pretty sure # 7 is hall of famer Dutch Clark. Notice fans sitting close to the field and a few players playing with no helmet . LIons mascot running in the end zone at 3:13 mark.

In the comments they said guy with no helmet was Bill Hewitt , and at the 5:48 mark he gets a elbow the head.

No chains, hash marks, numbered 10-50 yd lines. No flags, one referee....wonder what my 16 yr old father was doing on that Thanksgiving Day in Great Depression-era Detroit? Lived on Pennsylvania St., and attended St. Joseph HS, IIRC...not sure if pro-football games were broadcast live on radio yet.
